Hi, Welcome back! If this is your first time, thank you for
taking the time and reading my blog. For returners, welcome back! This is now
my 4th blog (woohoo!) not sure why I’m keeping track. It’s just fun!
Today’s topic of discussion is about the 2015 Grammys, mostly,
I’ll be covering what the celebrities’ appearance, but I never stay on topic.
Fun fact! I was actually in California this past weekend (where it’s held) when
it was happening for my friend’s birthday. As we were trying to come home on Sunday,
we saw the red carpet event going on. So, my friend immediately got off the
freeway and we headed towards it. We were all freaking out. It was the closet
any of us has ever been to a red carpet event. When we got off, of course, it
was really packed in downtown LA so we just drove by and then proceeded on the
freeway and continued coming home. Wicked experience!
First I want to discuss what worked and what didn’t as far
as appearance
Let’s begin with, Taylor Swift
First of all, I am obsessed with her new album, 1989. If you
haven’t heard it you’re missing out. It’s a very great come back. She really
made something that made her stand out! But upon that, she looked amazing at
the Grammys. With her teal blue fitted dress (at the top) and then it just
flowed down to her feet. Amazing. Not to mention, her shoes. They were like
magenta. Everything just went well for her. She won three well deserved awards
too! Best solo performance, record of the year, and song of the year. I think
she deserved these. Way to go, Taylor!
Someone’s outfit whose was rather….interesting was Rihanna’s.
I use to be a really big fan of hers. She had amazing albums back in the day. But
now, she actually disguises me. She has a nasty attitude and thinks she’s the
shit. Like excuse homegirl I know you think you’re like the Jamaican princess
or whatever but I’m the HBIC so back off. And all I ever see is videos of her
in skimpy clothes smoking weed which is fine, just don’t make videos of you
doing it. Like what do you want a cookie because you’re so cool? Also, she
makes fun of other people. She just thinks she’s soooo bomb but she’s not all
that. See! I told you I can never stay on topic. Anyways, she supposedly arrived
to the Grammys late. She can’t blame it on her fashion because she looked ridiculous.
She almost liked like she was in her Quniceanera dress or like a toy off of the
top of a cake or like a luffa. Yeah, let’s go with she was portraying a luffa. It
would’ve been cute if it were one layer. But, then she decided she wanted to
stand out and it didn’t even work because she looked ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder
what her fashion people are thinking! It
was a very nice color, though.
Next on the list and my favorite look at this year’s Grammys
were Sia and Maddie. I guess Sia was trying to go for a matching look and
portraying Maddie as her twin or the mini Sia. Sia is one of my favorite artists
and I love her new album. There are a lot of things that people think are weird
about her. But, I promise it makes sense. What a lot of people don’t know about
her is she’s always been a song writer. She’s written for Beyoncé, Rihanna, and
many other artists. She recently decided to make an album on her own. One interesting
thing about her is that she doesn’t like fame. Well. Let me rephrase that, she doesn’t
like showing her face to the media because of the haters and negative people
out there. I can’t blame her. She performs with her backside to the audience,
she does interviews with her backside to the camera, and she covers her face
during red carpet event like at the Grammys, and she also has other people
portray her in her music videos. She and Maddie’s outfit were simply flawless! They
were inspired by Georgie Armani. Sia’s one piece poncho thing like looked so amazing
and her oversized wig used to cover her face was also amazing! Maddie’s long
blazer type overcoat was really nice to look at one her. It fit really really
well and her shoes were super cute. And as for the performance, it was
flawless. Just so great, and Sia is a really great live singer!
My last and final person I would like to talk about is Mile
Cyrus. If you didn’t know, she is my favorite person in the whole entire world.
Her dress was really sexy, lots of skin showing, but she rocked it! She also
went make up free besides a little mascara. I don’t really have much to say,
besides that she’s amazing and I love her!
